I was expecting a shitfest, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's not really all that bad. I've come around to the new Decepticon designs, they look VERY alien. The Autobots are familiar enough looking. The action was pretty fucking cool. They didn't do a bad job. If you're still really skeptical, just wait until it hits HBO so you don't have to pay to see it.

I thought the humor was witty, the action was pretty good. I mean a lot of the movie was action packed so it made things pretty sweet.

I thought they did a good job at giving you the feel the cartoon did. I mean normally they trash what it is based off of.

Yeah, it was nice to see that Bay and his team were trying to keep the feel of the show intact.

Ok i have good and bad feelings about the movie.
Good> Its genuinely a good film. Any complaints i have are relatively minor and didnt ruin it for me in any way. The effects are amazing, i got to see a beast wars transformer (crosses fingers for a movie on that) and all the fight scenes are fantastic.

Bad> For fucks sake with the marketing! Every two minutes a logo was brandished infront of us. At one point the military guy goes "is that one of those new motarolas, those things are wicked" or something to that effect. (rolls eyes) A mountain dew machine comes to life and shoots cans at people. I understand that something had to pay for those effects but geeze.

I'm confident that marketing was invented by Satan.

Even though all of this advertising was going on, it kind of made me laugh a lot. Especially the Ebay stuff.

I hate Ratchet. He's suppose to be the medical officer of the Autobots but he doesn't fix shit toward the end. Bumblebee gets torn up and Jazz gets killed; what the hell was Ratchet doing? I didn't even see him fight!

They should have killed Ratchet instead, that's all I'm saying...

The part where Bumblebee releases his "coolant" on the guys was pretty funny.
